Remembering Nuzhat Amin
: A Member of the NNEST Caucus in TESOL

Welcome!

Nuzhat Amin, who was instrumental in promoting research on NNESTs and minority women in TESOL, died May 21, 2007 from complications associated with cancer. She was 60 years old. She was originally from Pakistan and obtained her Ph.D. in 2000 from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto. In 2003, she moved to the United States to teach in the School of Education at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. She inspired many of us with her pioneering publications and advocacy for minority women professionals. Please share your memories and thoughts on Nuzhat Amin.
